InvisAble InkEd

Specialist Alternative Education Provision and SEND Support Services in South Devon

Who We Are

InvisAble InkEd is an alternative education provision grounded in autonomy, trust, and meaningful learning.

We work with neurodivergent individuals who need more than traditional systems can offer—people for whom mainstream approaches create barriers rather than access. Our work is built on the belief that autonomy is not a reward for good behaviour, but the foundation that makes engagement, regulation, and learning possible.

At InvisAble InkEd, relationships come first. We create environments where trust is built slowly and intentionally, where choice is real, and where learning is shaped around the individual rather than imposed from the outside. Education here is flexible, responsive, and rooted in curiosity, creativity, and connection.

Alongside our alternative education provision, we extend this approach through adult crafting sessions, private consultations, and professional training—sharing autonomy-led practice with individuals, families, and professionals who want to work differently and more effectively.

InvisAble InkEd exists to prove that when people are respected, understood, and trusted, meaningful learning follows.

Our reviews speak for themselves…

“Heather is an amazing person through and through, her help and guidance with myself and my son is truly amazing. Heather puts her absolute all in everything that she does and makes it fun for the children to learn and engage. The group that Heather runs is a great space for children and I would recommend this 100% to anyone that is home educating as not only is it great for the children, it is also great for the adults too! Heather is worth her weight in gold! Thank you for everything you do.”

- Jenny Marie (parent)

“I cannot recommend Heather highly enough! She helps my daughter feel seen and heard and is so authentic and passionate about everything she does. My daughter has grown in so much confidence and curiosity around learning. Heather is knowledgeable, efficient and communicates in such a lovely way, with both me and my daughter. She meets my daughter where she is and helps her blossom from there. Heather is a gift to the pda world, and definitely recommend any of her groups, guidance, tutoring and course.”

- Elestren Vassalli (parent)

“I would recommend Heather to anyone who wants their child to learn in a space where they can feel safe and understood. My son attends 1:1 sessions as The Pillow Fort, and She has been a breath of fresh air for my family. Since he started attending Heather's sessions, his confidence has grown every week and he is now actively choosing to engage in learning again. Being in an environment that suits the way he needs to learn and makes him feel safe has made such a huge difference to us. Heather makes him feel seen and heard and allows him to be the person he wants to be, encouraging and supporting his interests in such a caring way. Her passion and drive to do the best for the children she supports is amazing. If my son could go everyday he would!”

Heather has a good understanding of additional needs, including child led learning for PDA children. Your child will instantly gravitate to Heather. Heather will find new and inventive ways to teach. Always looking to strive in the right direction.
